Our waterfront development in Barrie will offer an exciting mix of amenities, services and experiences, all in a stunning lakeside setting.  For the Harmony Village team, our 37,000 square foot community centre is a truly unique part of our Harmony Village Lake Simcoe development. A key feature of Phase 1, the community centre will host different art and culture organizations, operate health and wellness services and provide personalized and accessible in-home care options to Harmony Village residents and the community of Barrie. The community centre will offer a variety of arts programs, ranging from photography to ceramics, cooking and much more. Furthermore, our community arts hub will host learning and practice areas for local artists that include studio and exhibit spaces to showcase jewellery, textiles and visual art pieces.

To make sure we are providing all the programs, services and activities that people want, we rely on the feedback and insights we’ve gained from our conversations with different members of the community. This feedback augments the online surveys, focus groups and consumer polling we’ve conducted. For instance, we know that 78 per cent of Canadians, 60 and older say it is important to have health and wellness services in close proximity as they enter the retirement phase of their lives. Eighty-four per cent say that active lifestyle amenities, such as spas, gyms, recreational activities are important. This affirms our commitment to providing a generous offering of activities and experiences throughout the year. The centre is designed to become an important and rewarding part of the everyday lives of the entire community.

Do you have an idea for a great class or program that you would like to see offered at Harmony Village Lake Simcoe?  We welcome your feedback and encourage you to share your ideas by visiting the Harmony Village Facebook page or send us an email at info@harmonyvillage.ca.
