On Wednesday, June 19, the City of Toronto hosted a community consultation meeting regarding the application from City Core Developments for our envisioned mixed-use development project – Harmony Village at 3260 Sheppard Avenue East. This meeting offered community members an opportunity to learn more about the development and to connect with Jack Pong, President & CEO of City Core Developments and Harmony Village, the architectural team from Page + Steele/IBI Group and other members of our project team. We were pleased to see many members of the community in attendance, along with Ward 40 Councillor Norm Kelly and senior city planner Willie Macrae.

During the meeting, representatives from the city and City Core Developments talked about many different features of the project including the residential buildings and the vast amenities that will be offered on-site. The community was excited to learn that Harmony Village residents and community members will have access to the more than 100 amenities, services and programs that will be offered through St. Paul's L'Amoreaux Centre. Additional features of the development will include health and wellness services, 24-hour emergency response and cooking and fitness classes.

Attendees were interested in the sustainable features of the project, which will include the latest in renewable energy, solar thermal and geothermal energy. The architecture and design of the development will incorporate LEED Gold design standards throughout.

The Harmony Village Sheppard development will have direct access to the future Sheppard LRT, which will bring increased retail and service options to the area over the coming years. We are busy working with our seasoned team to launch the project in the fall. Launch events and the unveiling of suite designs will be announced to our community within our monthly e-newsletters and on www.harmonyvillage.ca
