Spring weather is finally here so it’s time to enjoy the great outdoors. Whether you make minor changes to your daily routine or decide to try something new – it’s important to achieve an active, healthy lifestyle. Harmony Village has a few ideas for you to kick-off the warm season and stay active.

WALK TO WORK

Tired of traffic or transit? Warmer weather may mean you can walk to work and mix-up your daily routine. If you live close to work consider taking a longer scenic route. Or if you take transit, get off a few stops early and take in the fresh air.

GO FOR A JOG

With the snow and ice finally gone, take advantage of the bare sidewalks by going for a light jog! You can also explore trails and paths in your own city – at Harmony Village Lake Simcoe our waterfront development will provide plenty of great strolling routes, along with a café and restaurant to stop for a treat.

JOIN AN OUTDOOR TEAM

There are lots of recreational sports clubs just for adults. The Toronto Sport and Social Club is accepting registrations for a range of sports including: ultimate Frisbee, slo-pitch, soccer and sailing. Get a group together or sign up as an individual and meet some new people. In Barrie, you can look into recreation sports leagues, which offer basketball, dodgeball, recreational and intermediate volleyball, competitive volleyball and beach volleyball.

At Harmony Village, we’re committed to supporting an active lifestyle all year long, which is why our developments will include robust facilities and amenities such as yoga studios, exercise rooms and swimming pools, along with outdoor options when the sun is shining.
