Whether you’re a resident or just visiting—Barrie is full of beautiful trails and views. On a cool summer evening, nothing is better than biking or hiking along these Barrie paths. See below for our favourite locations to take in the scenery while getting some exercise.

Kempenfelt Bay’s Waterfront Trail

Take the scenic route and explore by cycling along the 6.7 km of paved trail along Barrie’s Lakefront Park. This route is perfect for adults and kids. When the kids need a break, take a few minutes to cool down by the water or enjoy a pit stop at one of the tasty food vendors.

Horseshoe Valley

If you’re looking for a challenge, try mountain biking on the hills of Horseshoe Valley. They’ve kicked off this summer season by re-opening their recently expanded lift-access mountain Bike Park. With 20 km of cross-country trails and 400 hectares of mountain bike trails, you and your family will have an exciting adventure.

Oro Medonte Rail Trail

If you love biking and enjoying the great outdoors, then the Oro Medonte Rail Trail is made for you. Unique from other paths in the area, this trail is an abandoned CN rail line that runs parallel to the west shore of Lake Simcoe. But be aware, this trail is 28 km long and best suited for advanced cyclists. Happy Riding from the Harmony Village team!
