The first long weekend of the summer season is finally here!  With warm weather expected for the Toronto and Barrie areas, Harmony Village has some tips to help kick off the Victoria Day weekend:
  • BE SAFE.  For many Canadians, summer means enjoying outdoor activities with family and friends. Before heading out on land or water, be sure to pack the necessary safety equipment.  If you’re planning to be on water, make sure everyone is properly outfitted with a proper sized life jacket or personal floatation device.  When enjoying activities like biking, make sure everyone is wearing a helmet.

  • STOCK UP.  Before the crowds hit the grocery stores and shops, get all your treats, drinks and snacks for the weekend at once!  All stores will be closed on Monday, so make sure you head out and gather everything you need.  Not only will you avoid long lines, but you’ll get more time to enjoy with friends and family.

  • GET BUSY.  Have that long list of to do’s you just can’t get too?  Why not try checking things off the ‘ol to-do list. Run errands, start planting in your garden or even visit friends you’ve been meaning to see.

  • EXPLORE.  Local event listings in your local and community newspaper will be full of different fun filled activities for the whole family.  Be sure to catch the Victoria Day fireworks that happen in big and small communities across the country.
Whatever you plan on doing this long weekend, Harmony Village wishes you a happy and safe long weekend!
