As the Canadian population continues to age, today's Baby Boom generation is demanding a new standard in living. An Angus Reid survey commissioned by Harmony Village found that:
  • 65 per cent of Canadians surveyed who are 60-plus feel their real estate options are limited, with 85 per cent wanting an urban village environment with available services and resources in their immediate vicinity, such as retail shops, lifestyle programs, medical practitioners and lifestyle programs.
  • 76 per cent of Canadians 60-plus agree that access to health and wellness services are very important for baby boomers entering retirement. While 57 per cent agree that access to support services (e.g., 24-hour emergency response, maintenance services, nursing care and doctors on-site) are very important to baby boomers during this phase.
As a result, developers are challenged to provide new and improved options for the aging demographic, which, according to Statistics Canada, by 2016 could exceed the number of children in Canada.

We are excited to deliver a community that celebrates this dynamic generation. Whether it’s yoga and ceramics classes or health and wellness services delivered by the Canadian Red Cross, Harmony Village will meet your evolving day-to-day needs.

The Harmony Village team appreciates your feedback. What do you hope Harmony Village Lake Simcoe will bring to the community? Share your thoughts on Facebook and visit our site for more information.
